Treesoft CAD’s foreign language translation feature makes it easier for companies operating internationally to create and deliver schematics in English and other local languages.  We’re setting new standards here, as several of these features—to the best of our knowledge—are firsts in the industry. Below, we’ll introduce you to the highlights of our foreign-language translation feature—features you could only have dreamed of until now.

All translations are part of a single drawing

What sets our add-on module apart is that all translations are stored directly within a CAD drawing. They are available to you at any time in the open schematic. The advantage of this is that when you make changes, you only need to update a single drawing, and those changes are automatically applied to all stored languages.

Our autocomplete feature—fast, convenient, and great!

To ensure consistent labeling and high-quality translations, we recommend using our autocomplete feature. When entering text in the dialog box, be sure to take advantage of our lightning-fast autocomplete! As you type, the system automatically checks your dictionary and the translations stored there.

When you select an entry from the autocomplete list, the schematics are automatically generated in English or in the languages you’ve added to the dictionary. This has the added benefit of ensuring that your translations are always consistent—convenience and quality assurance in one!

If, while adding a term, you notice that it doesn’t exist in the dictionary yet, go ahead and create it. It will then be available to you immediately, and you can be sure that it will always be translated the same way.

Intelligent collision checking ensures readability

Words and their translations aren’t always the same length, which is why we’ve integrated a smart collision check into the foreign-language translation feature. A colored highlight alerts you if text in one language overlaps with another element in the drawing. You can then review each instance and set a line break at the desired position. The line breaks you set are also saved directly in the dictionary, so you usually only have to set them once for each word—pretty handy, right?

The “Merge” feature revolutionizes dictionary maintenance

Of course, once you’ve purchased the add-on module, you can use the import feature to directly add your trusted dictionary. Alternatively, we provide a basic dictionary that you can customize to suit your needs. You can also back up your dictionary using the export feature and share it if needed—so far, so good.

True to our principle that a well-maintained dictionary facilitates consistent translations, we have not only implemented a standard import and export function, but also an extremely practical merge function. Now you can compare your dictionaries with others, add missing entries, or choose between different translations when they differ. Maintaining and updating your dictionary has never been easier.

Adjusting font sizes manually? Not here!

You’ll surely appreciate that our software includes a fixed height. Our software automatically scales character sets, ensuring that the layout of your drawing remains consistent across different characters. It doesn’t matter whether your schematic contains special characters or whether you output it in English or Japanese—the line height is fixed!

The output format is independent of the display format

The flexibility of the output format makes it easy for you to export schematics in a language other than PDF in no time at all.

Output Language and Alternative Language

If no translation is available for the selected language, the output will be displayed in the alternative language you specified, if possible.
