Are you already working with Treesoft CAD Control Technology and looking to solve specific tasks more quickly, streamline recurring processes, or discover features that you haven’t yet taken full advantage of? If so, this workshop is the perfect opportunity for you.

The focus is on your daily practice, your own projects, and your questions. Please bring specific tasks and, ideally, a project of your own. Together, we’ll review your current workflow, look for the right solution, and, if possible, implement it directly in Treesoft CAD.

Treesoft CAD Control Technology is packed with powerful features. Those who truly understand them and combine them effectively will continually discover new ways to automate processes and significantly simplify workflows—sometimes even by creatively “repurposing” existing features.

This year, you can also look forward to a particularly exciting glimpse into the future of Treesoft CAD: We’ll discuss all the new features in Treesoft CAD 7.4, show you the new user interface with improved usability, and go over the new [Tab] function for entering coordinates. We’ll also provide a preview of the new PLC wizard. If development allows, we might even demonstrate an initial prototype live.

The workshop is intentionally not structured around a rigid agenda. The participants’ projects, questions, and ideas will shape a significant portion of the content. This means you won’t be getting a general presentation, but rather concrete support for your day-to-day work with Treesoft CAD Control Technology.

Here’s what you’ll take away from the workshop

• how to combine existing functions in a meaningful way,
• how to simplify or automate recurring tasks,
• how you can use Treesoft CAD even for unusual requirements,
• how to use the new features in Treesoft CAD 7.4 in your daily work,

• what opportunities the new PLC Wizard is expected to open up in the future,
• and how a practical requirement becomes a concrete suggestion for improvement in future product development.

Important: A workshop is not a training session

This workshop does not replace the two-day Treesoft CAD Control Technology startup seminar.

In the seminar, the fundamentals and the complete workflow of Treesoft CAD Control Technology are taught systematically and step by step. In the workshop, we assume you already have this knowledge and focus on applying what you’ve learned to your own projects and tasks.

Of course, questions about understanding and the basics are still very welcome. Lars will answer your questions, whether they concern a basic step or an in-depth, detailed topic. However, two days of seminar content cannot be covered in a single workshop.

If you haven’t attended the startup seminar yet or are missing some important fundamentals, you’re of course still very welcome to join us. However, it may become clear very quickly during the workshop where attending the seminar would help you use Treesoft CAD Control Technology more confidently and efficiently afterward.

The “Control Systems” startup seminar covers these fundamentals

During the two-day startup seminar, the following topics—among others—will be systematically taught and practiced together:

• Create and label circuit diagrams in accordance with standards,
• Automatically generate bills of materials,
• Automatically generate terminal diagrams,
• Automatically generate wiring diagrams,
• Automatically generate wiring lists,
• Automatically generate PLC assignment lists,
• create your own symbols,
• Create and manage materials and services,
• Customize frame drawings,
• and structure projects efficiently.

In the seminar, you’ll learn about the entire workflow. In the workshop, you’ll then have the opportunity to ask specific questions about each of these points and gain a deeper understanding of how to apply them to your own projects.

Here’s what we’ll do in the workshop

Work on your own projects and tackle specific tasks

Bring your projects, typical tasks, and any questions you may have. Together, we’ll review your current situation, analyze the approach you’ve taken so far, and explore how you can use Treesoft CAD to complete the task faster, easier, or more reliably.

We don’t use a generic training program; instead, we work as directly as possible with your specific requirements. The more specific your task is, the more precisely we can address it and, whenever possible, demonstrate the solution directly in Treesoft CAD.

Rethinking Existing Features

Not every specific task immediately requires a new feature. Often, the desired result can be achieved simply by cleverly combining existing options.

Lars shows you creative ways to think about functions differently, combine them effectively, and—when necessary—even “repurpose” them. It’s precisely through this process that solutions often emerge that not only simplify a single step but also improve your entire workflow.

Have you already come up with an unusual solution yourself? Maybe you’ve:

• combines various functions in a new way,
• automated recurring processes using existing resources,
• developed a particularly clever project structure,
• Symbols, macros, or catalogs used in unusual ways,
• or found a solution that other users haven't thought of yet.

Then bring your solution and share it with us. We can present it during the workshop, further develop it together, and discuss it with the other participants. That way, everyone can benefit from the experiences and ideas drawn from everyday practice.

All New Features in Treesoft CAD 7.4

Of course, we’ll cover all the new features in Treesoft CAD 7.4 during the workshop.

Our goal is not only to introduce the new features, but also to explore together the specific benefits they offer for your day-to-day project work. We’ll walk you through the new features directly in Treesoft CAD and answer your questions about how to use them and their practical applications.

We place special emphasis on:

• the new user interface,
• the improved usability,
• the new features that make operation clearer and more convenient,
• and the new [Tab] function for entering coordinates.

Especially with a new user interface, specific questions often arise in practice: Where is a familiar feature located? Which steps are now easier? What new control options are available? And how can the new features be optimally integrated into the existing workflow?

If you’ve already been using Treesoft CAD 7.4, you can share your initial experiences and ask any questions you may have. If you haven’t made the switch yet, you’ll gain practical insight and be able to prepare specifically for the new features.

A Look Ahead at the New PLC Wizard

A special highlight of the workshop is the preview of the new PLC Wizard.

We’ll show you what goals we’re pursuing with this new development, the thinking behind the new concept, and what the future workflow might look like. This will give you an early glimpse into the possibilities the new PLC Wizard is designed to offer for the configuration and documentation of PLC modules.

And maybe it won’t just be a preview: If the development status at the time of the Top Days allows it, we’ll demonstrate an initial prototype live in Treesoft CAD during the workshop.

Your practical knowledge is especially valuable during this phase of development:

• Which steps should the new PLC Wizard automate?
• What information needs to be particularly easy to import and edit?
• Which features would actually save you time in your day-to-day projects?
• What has been your experience with the PLC Wizard so far?
• And what requirements must the new solution absolutely meet?

This way, you’ll not only gain an early insight into the development process, but you’ll also be able to use your experience and requirements to provide valuable input for its further design.

Of course, all your questions are more than welcome during the workshop—whether they concern the basics, specific project requirements, or in-depth topics.

We know Treesoft CAD down to the smallest detail. You, on the other hand, know your projects, your business processes, and your customers’ requirements. It is precisely this collaboration that often leads to the best solutions and ideas for improvement.

Improvement often starts with a seemingly small question:

• Why do I have to keep doing this step manually?
• Isn't there already a suitable function for this task?
• How can I safely reuse existing circuit components?
• How can symbols, articles, and analyses be better integrated with one another?
• Can Treesoft CAD automatically handle a specific process?
• How do I address a specific customer requirement?

Together, we look not only at the individual command, but at the full context. After all, the best solution often lies not in an additional function, but in a more skillful use of the options already available.

Your experiences help us continue to develop Treesoft CAD

Even small improvements can make a big difference. An additional option, a more accessible command, or a simplified input method can save valuable time every day when performing a frequently repeated task.

If a task cannot be fully resolved using the existing features, we work together to define the current state and the desired target state. This can result in a specific requirement, which we then pass on to our product management and development teams.

Suggestions that are particularly practical—and from which many Treesoft CAD users can benefit—will, of course, be given high priority in our ongoing evaluation and product planning.

This workshop not only gives you the opportunity to get answers to your own questions, but also allows you to directly contribute your experiences, wishes, and suggestions for improvement to the ongoing development of Treesoft CAD.
