The focus isn’t on teaching general fundamentals, but rather on your specific project work. You’ll bring your questions, drawings, and—ideally—your own project. Together, we’ll go over the individual steps, address any difficulties, and show you how to effectively incorporate the features of Treesoft CAD Building Services into your personal workflow.
Andreas Lenzhölzer provides you with targeted support for the practical implementation—from preparing and importing your own floor plans, to placing symbols and services, all the way through to routing lines and automatically generating the distribution plan.
Important: A workshop is not a training session
The workshop does not replace the two-day “Building Systems” startup seminar.
In the seminar, the fundamentals and the complete workflow of Treesoft CAD Building Services are taught systematically and step by step. In the workshop, we build on this knowledge and focus on applying what you’ve learned to your own projects and those you bring with you.
You can’t make up for two days of seminars in a single workshop. If you haven’t attended the startup seminar yet or are missing important fundamentals, you’re of course still very welcome to join. However, it will surely become clear very quickly during the workshop in which areas attending the seminar would help you use Treesoft CAD Building Services confidently and efficiently afterward.
The Building Services Engineering Startup Seminar covers these fundamentals
In this two-day startup seminar, we walk you through the entire workflow of electrical installation planning:
- Import floor plans using the Treesoft CAD Converter and prepare them for further editing
- Install electrical systems by installing the necessary equipment
- Using Codes, Services, and Service Catalogs Effectively
- Draw in cables and wires
- Create Legends
- Automatically Generate and Update Distribution Plans
- Integrating Planning and Documentation into a Seamless Workflow
These topics will be presented in a structured manner during the seminar, explained, and practiced together. In the workshop that follows, you’ll have the opportunity to ask specific questions about each of these topics and explore how to apply them to your own projects.
Here’s what we’ll do in the workshop
Import Your Own Floor Plans
You can ask specific questions about importing floor plans using the Treesoft CAD Converter. Feel free to bring your own DWG or DXF drawings with you. Together, we’ll import the files, review the results, and discuss how to best prepare the floor plan for further planning.
Using Icons and Features
You can ask questions about placing and editing symbols. We’ll also look at how to create your own symbols and services and use them effectively in your projects.
We don’t use a generic training example; instead, we work as directly as possible with your own requirements and project structures.
Draw in cables and wires
Although many users place the equipment, they fail to draw in the corresponding cables and wires. As a result, important features of Treesoft CAD Building Services remain unused.
Using specific examples, we’ll show you why this step is worthwhile and what benefits it offers for your future planning and documentation. This includes, in particular, the ability to automatically generate a distribution plan based on the connections you’ve drawn.
Use the Appropriate Service Catalog
You can ask questions about how to use the available service catalogs and work with us to determine which catalog best suits your work style and projects.
We can also discuss custom services or project-specific additions based on your specific requirements.
Automatically Generate Distribution Plans
We’ll show you what requirements must be met for a distribution plan to be created automatically, and how you can then review and supplement the generated plan.
If you’ve already prepared a project, we can work together to figure out why the generation is working, where information is missing, or how you can further optimize the results.
Improving Your Own Workflow
In addition to individual functions, we also look at how the various steps work together. Together, we’ll explore how you can simplify recurring tasks, structure your projects more clearly, and effectively integrate planning and documentation.
