Add-On Module: Treesoft Erp Gaeb Interface

Do you receive your request for quotation in GAEB format (*.D83) and have to submit your quotation in GAEB format (*.d84)? Do you create your own quotations in which manufacturers’ service specifications (*.d81) have to be imported? Then the GAEB interface is the add-on module that will solve this problem.

Treesoft ERP includes a GAEB interface. When developing this interface, the goal was to satisfy as many customers as possible as quickly as possible. For this reason, the following limitations were deliberately imposed:

• We only process the GAEB 1990 format. The GAEB 2000 and GAEB DA XML formats are definitely not supported.
• Within GAEB 90, the file formats D83 Request for quotation (import), D81 Service specifications (import), and D84 Quotation submission (export) are supported.
• The D83 file format definitely cannot be exported. This means that it is not possible to generate a tender yourself. D83 Request for quotation (import GAEB D83)

After technical consultation, the service specifications without prices (exception: temporary contract work) are forwarded to companies interested in carrying out the construction work with a request to submit bids. This phase also includes addenda.

Note

A few record types in D83 format are not imported by the GAEB interface implemented in Treesoft ERP. These are record types that contain comments or contract information that are irrelevant for processing the tender. The errors are displayed in a dialog box and can be ignored.

D84 Bid Submission (Export GAEB D84): Bidders participating in the bidding process import the service specifications and then add their prices, bidder text additions, and free quantities. The result can now be sent back to the tendering authority as a bid. Alternatively, the user has the option of exporting the “bid” to a D84 GAEB file. The DA84 file contains the item numbers—referred to as GAEB ordinal numbers (OZ)—the bidder’s corresponding unit and total prices, and any bidder information. The service items with short and long texts are not included.

Further possibilities

Treesoft ERP is software for creating and calculating quotes and the associated follow-up documents such as order confirmations, delivery notes, partial and final invoices, and credit notes. For this reason, the above-mentioned options cover almost all requirements.

In some cases, however, users wish to export a service specification as a tender. We have not yet implemented this part of the GAEB data exchange. However, users have various options for exporting the service specification they have created.
