Everything You Need to Know About E-Billing

Speaker: Andreas Küstermann – Managing Director & Product Manager
As of January 1, 2025, domestic companies must be able to receive e-invoices. Starting January 1, 2027, all companies in Germany must issue e-invoices if their prior-year revenue (from 2026) exceeded 800,000 euros. This requirement applies to domestic business-to-business (B2B) transactions. Smaller companies with lower revenue have a transition period until December 31, 2027. Starting in 2025, simple PDF files will no longer be considered e-invoices.
In this workshop, Andreas will explain in a practical and easy-to-understand way everything you need to know about e-invoicing. He’ll also show you specific solutions for your day-to-day work.
The Treesoft E-Invoice Toolkit is the perfect complement to your existing software. You don’t have to spend a fortune customizing your ERP software or rely on cloud solutions: Our toolkit runs locally on your PC (on-premises), so your data stays with you—secure, straightforward, and efficient.
Here are the topics you can expect:
- What exactly is an e-bill?
- What transition periods are currently in effect?
- What formats are available (e.g., XRechnung, ZUGFeRD)?
- Are PDF invoices still allowed?
- How do I open an XRechnung?
- Partial Invoice vs. Installment Invoice, Cancellation vs. Credit Memo
- And much more!
Using concrete examples, Andreas shows you how to use the toolkit to convert your existing PDF invoices into true e-invoices—even fully automatically, including delivery, if you wish.
Take this opportunity to ask your questions and get fully prepared for the e-invoicing requirement. We look forward to seeing you!
