Smart PDF Import Module

We refer to this as a smart PDF import because this add-on module for the Treesoft CAD Converter generates a vector graphic. At this point, we would like to explicitly note that a PDF file must be available in which the drawing is also saved as a vector graphic. This is generally always the case when the PDF file was created from a CAD program.

However, if you scan a paper floor plan and generate a PDF file from it (Scan to PDF), the floor plan in that file is only included as an image (raster graphic). Of course, we can also import this file using the image import module, and naturally, you can convert this file to a Treesoft CAD ZNG file while maintaining the scale. However, in the Treesoft ZNG floor plan file, you will then only have a background image (raster graphic) and no background drawing (vector graphic).

The advantage of a background drawing (vector graphic) is that it allows you to snap to objects (points, lines, circles, rectangles, text, symbols). This makes it much easier to draw lines and position switches and connectors with precise dimensions.
