Intelligent Pdf Import Module

We refer to this as intelligent PDF import because this add-on module for the Treesoft CAD Converter generates vector graphics. At this point, we would like to expressly point out that a PDF file must be available in which the drawing is also stored in vector format. This is always the case if the PDF file was created using a CAD program.

However, if you scan a paper floor plan and generate a PDF file from it (scan to PDF), the floor plan in this file is only contained as an image (raster graphic). Of course, we also read this file using the image import module, and you can also convert this file to a Treesoft CAD ZNG file to scale. However, in the Treesoft ZNG floor plan file, you will then only have a background image (raster graphic) and no background drawing (vector graphic).

The advantage of a background drawing (vector graphic) is that the objects (points, lines, circles, rectangles, text, symbols) can be captured. This makes it much easier to draw in cables and position the switching/plug-in devices to the correct dimensions.
